Bearded Collie

Brush and comb your Bearded Collie regularly, to avoid tangles as much as possible. If your dog is well brushed, you will only need to make a few adjustments by hand (paws, ears, anus, belly, etc.). If your Bearded Collie is matted, a trim can save your dog a lot of plucking.

Recommended length of clipper blades:

Recommended length of clipping head, Bearded Collie

Clipping length:

The more a Bearded Collie is matted, the shorter the clipping should be. Note that Bearded Collies clipped very short may get cold in winter and may need sun protection in summer.

Recommended scissors for Bearded Collies:

Feet, head, etc.: Curved scissors 13 - 23 cm

For transitions: Thinners, one-sided, 28 - 40 teeth

For tapering: Thinners, double-sided, 30 teeth
